Mini Business World

This is an annual business entrepreneurial simulation game for high school juniors and seniors from 7 area school districts.

The one-day program, held at NWTC, Marinette Campus, gives students a taste of what it is like to run a large business. Students learn about financing, accounting, production schedules, marketing, human resources, and other challenges faced when running a business. Business ethics and environmental stewardship are emphasized through presentations and skits, led by a business advisor volunteering from within the community. Each year, the program serves 30-36 students.

2025 Program

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) buzzed with creativity and collaboration as high school juniors and seniors from the following school districts gathered for this year’s Mini Business World (MBW): Coleman, Crivitz, Marinette, Peshtigo, STAA, Stephenson, and Wausaukee.
The event brought students together for an immersive entrepreneurial simulation, challenging them to experience what it’s like to run a large-scale business. Participants worked in teams to make key decisions, solve real-world business challenges, and develop leadership and teamwork skills along the way.
A special thank you goes out to this year’s generous sponsors, whose support made the event possible:
• Kimberly-Clark Corp. – Major Event Sponsor
• Samuel Pressure Vessel Group - Event Co-Sponsor
• Peshtigo National Bank – Supporting Event Sponsor
• NWTC - In-kind sponsor
Their continued investment in youth and education helps ensure that opportunities like MBW continue to inspire the next generation of business professionals.
