Marinette's Downtown Christmas Celebration

The Marinette Community Action Group has annouced it's plans for the 2012 Holiday Season.  A Christmas Parade and "Open House" which will include all participating downtown merchants, Stephenson Library and the Marinette Welcome Center, will be held on Saturday, December 8.  The Parade will start at noon, and proceed down Main Street from Stanton Street to Liberty Street.  Santa will follow the Parade and will proceed to the Stephenson Library were he will spend extra time visiting with each child. 

There will be a two week special shopping event at participating merchants, from November 23 to December 8, there is a special entry card the public will need have to be eligible for special prizes.  The entry cards will be available at eachparticipating business during those two weeks.  The drawings for these prizes will be drawn at 2:30 p.m. at the Welcome Center on December 8. 

Between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., Santa will cross over the Stephenson Island Walking bridge to light the City of Marinette's Christmas tree.
