The Marinette Menominee Area Chamber of Commerce serves both the cities and counties of Marinette, Wisconsin and Menominee, Michigan, welcomes you to our beautiful community. We are fortunate to live, work and play in an area surrounded by river, bay, farmland and woods.

We recognize the importance of the entire region and work to assist the development of a positive business climate for the entire Marinette and Menominee area.

Our community stands on the precipice of positive change and prosperity, as Marinette Marine Corp, a Fincantieri company and one of our largest employers, expands and creates new jobs as the result of a U.S. Navy contract in a partnership with Lockheed Martin. Our goal is to help our businesses thrive during changing times.

Our chamber is the result of a merger five years ago between two chambers, each serving one side of the river in this two-county, two-state region.

But our business community knows we are a region. People live on one side of the river and work on another. With that in mind, the new Marinette Menominee Area Chamber of Commerce has taken a fresh approach to all that we do, divesting ourselves of programs that were not serving member businesses and identifying new opportunities to create a dynamic business climate.

In recent years, we have created programs for small businesses, women-owned businesses, and young professionals. Our board of directors is a diverse group of professionals, including industry leaders, bankers, educators, small business owners, an attorney, an IT professional, human resources professionals, a Realtor, and others who are committed to the economic vitality and the quality of life in our region.

Our overall goal is to preserve and expand economic development, educational growth, tourism, member services, and governmental relations in a collective effort to improve the business climate and enhance the free enterprise system in our community.

We are a private, non-profit organization funded by membership dues and income generated from management contracts and special events. We are not a government agency.

We work with committees and networks of volunteers. The chamber staff works with volunteers to coordinate programs, plan events and collectively achieve what we could not achieve working alone.

I am often asked, "What does the chamber do for me?" The answer is simple: We offer opportunities and benefits, but most importantly we create opportunities for people to work together for the common good of the community.
